About the Club

USW Futsal Club is the leading student futsal clubs in Wales. The club offers playing opportunities for students of all abilities, from competing in the FAW Elite National Futsal League to BUCS Competitions.

USW Futsal team is pleased to welcome all players to our expanding club. One of our aims is to expand the futsal club for the coming season, as we look to introduce a women section and more than double the number of men teams so their room for you all.

During our 2019/20 season, our 1st team competed within both the BUCS Premier division and (FAW) Welsh Elite Futsal League. The winner of the FAW League enters the UEFA Champions League of futsal held this year in Switzerland. With the teaming coming third in their first season in the league.

What Is Futsal?

Futsal is a fast-paced 5v5 sport which helped to develop the likes of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Iniesta and Kevin De Bruyne. Futsal is one of the leading sports in South American countries, Spain and Portugal and is now being used in academy football to improve fast decision making and technique. ''Trials''

There shall be no trial as such. This year we look to allow everyone who wants to join futsal to join it. Hence, we are increasing our number of team to as many as possible. Therefore, these open training sessions shall work similar to a trial in that you will be all allocated a team based on your playing ability. If players improve though there shall be movement between the squads.
